MOORGATE BENCHMARKS APPOINTS INDUSTRY VETERAN MARK WEEKS TO IT’S BOARD

LONDON, December 5th 2019 – Moorgate Benchmarks, the index company driving change, today announced the appointment of Mark Weeks as non-executive director. Mark will also be ETFS Capital’s representative on the Moorgate Benchmarks board.

Mark is Head of Portfolio Investments at ETFS Capital, the investment company that identifies and empowers innovation-led companies to become tomorrow’s leaders. Previously, he was CEO of ETF Securities, a firm he helped transform from entrepreneurial start-up to high-performance investment company. Prior to this, Mark held senior roles at UBS and Goldman Sachs in the securities finance divisions.

Moorgate Benchmarks’ mission is to enable index providers and product issuers to create new products that deliver true choice to all investors. Experts in designing, optimising, managing and calculating indices for clients; streamlining operations using leading-edge technology; and implementing best practice governance systems to meet EU Benchmarks Regulation, the firm is challenging an industry ripe for disruption.
